SunFest!

Man I have been so slammed at work I haven't had time to get on the computer for anything other than work, crazy! After working a ton of overtime last week Dan and I got away for the weekend to go on our annual SunFest trip. What a great time!! SunFest is an annual art and music festival on the waterfront in West Palm Beach, it is so fun. Great bands, great art and the Hospitality area we always get tickets for has an open bar, free snacks, free meals, passed hors'doeuvres at cocktail hour, is right on the water and next to the main stage. We had such a great time and there is always a huge Derby party at Bradley's to watch the Derby! This year was even better, I found my new favorite summertime drink, Jeremiah's Weed-Aid, Jeremiah's Sweet Tea Flavored Vodka and Lemonade, Alcoholic Arnold Palmers, how could I not love them!!

We left work early on Friday to pack up and head down to West Palm, we made it just in time to have cocktails and a fabulous dinner of fettuccine Alfredo, yes we were bad this weekend!, We met up with all our friends a little later and were out super late for us, the night ended at Roccos Tacos, a new bar and restaurant that gives free tequila shots, yes we were very bad this weekend, I happen to love tequila so I had a great time!!

Up not so early Saturday for a breakfast of pancakes and eggs Benedict at Juno Beach Cafe then back to relax at our friends Kiley and Max's townhouse. We got to SunFest just in time for free lunch from Panera and to hear Tonic and the Gin Blossoms. Great day of looking at art and listening to bands and then watching a great Derby at Bradley's, $9500 horse beat the $2.1 million, love it!! After another cocktail hour, a nice dinner and a few more bands we headed out just after UB40 started playing.

Sunday we packed up pretty early to head home to attend my grandfathers 89th birthday party, just before leaving we visited with Kevin and Tasha and their beautiful baby girl Isabella. Made it just in time for the party to start, my dad grilled out ribeyes as we all lounged by the pool eating appetizers and drinking mojitos, great end to a fabulous weekend! Now back to the grind!

Burger King Commercial

Has everyone seen the Burger King "Sponge Bob" commercial? I know it has been out for a while and I have wanted to post something about it but didn't get around to it until now. It is horrible, and I was shocked that its for a kids meal. Girls dancing around with boxes on their butts with Sir Mix-a-lot singing, I like Square Butts?? WTF? Am I getting that old and missing the humor or is this bizarre and totally not appropriate for children? Sponge Bob is Square Pants not butt and why is there a sexy lady in a red dress for a kids meal commercial, too weird!! Burger King your tiny burger commercial with the ladies is hilarious and so true, but a kids meal commercial with square butts? Why?? I mean the King is creepy enough don't ruin your ads anymore!

Cute Summer Shoes

How cute are the shoes from Bloomingdales!?! Granted they are $245.00 so I wont be getting them, but they are too cute not to show others! Perfect for my little beach town in the summer! Maybe I can try to make something similar by adding a crab to cheaper rope sandals!

Lilly Easter Dress

So I ordered this dress online weeks ago to be my Easter dress and it came in the mail last week. I was so disappointed when it looked horrible on me and I had to return it. I had been eyeing this dress for months and was so excited to get it, I guess when you spend that much on a dress you should do it in person, I never have good luck when ordering clothes from a catalog or online for some reason, but that doesnt stop me!

Easter Weekend!

What a busy busy Easter weekend, we had three Easter celebrations to attend and man were we tried at the end of the weekend! My weekend started Friday afternoon after going into work for a little bit on my day off, I got my nails done, ran a ton of errands for another baby shower I am hosting, my friend Amy's this time, got my hair done, then went to a new very chic restaurant River Rocks. Favorite parts, the seafood bisque, the cucumber basil martini (sounded interesting and was awesome!), the little sweet potato banana donuts with chocolate dipping sauce, and the new decor/atmosphere, use to be regular river front restaurant decor when it was Chowders, now its super modern and chic! So nice!! We will be returning!

Saturday morning we got up early to go shopping for new Easter outfits and the ingredients for all of our contributions. After getting ready and cooking zucchini bread and sweet and sour meatballs we headed over to Lake Buena Vista to my Aunt and Uncles house for the first Easter Celebration. Great food, an Easter egg hunt for my nieces and cousin's little boys, watermelon martinis and a huge dessert assortment. Good times! Home late and right to bed!

Sunday up early to go to my grandma's to pick her for the second Easter celebration at my parents house. When we got there my nieces we already in their bathing suits ready to swim, we had a nice day of relaxing by the pool, yet another Easter egg hunt, my quiches, honey baked ham and turkey, macaroni and cheese, a spring salad and yummy rolls to make ham sandwiches. I have to say I am getting really good at hiding eggs!

After leaving my parents we got home just in time to change and bake my squash casserole for our Easter Dinner at Amy and Jai's. Amy always puts together great dinners with everyone contributing something and her going all out! There was 11 of us this night so we had lots to choose from and Jai made a whole turkey in their new oilless fryer, it was amazing! I couldn't believe it, an oilless fryer?? So neat! After our great evening with friends, Danny and I literally crashed into bed! What a weekend!! I hope all of you had a great Easter and weekend also!

Hall and Oates Concert

Dan and I went to the Hall and Oates concert last night and it was awesome! They played all their hits, which is a lot, and they sounded exactly the same! I love it when groups are still together and sound the same as they always have! They were wonderful, what a great show! They even looked great!! I hope I age that well! We had a wonderful time!

Real Housewives of NYC

Kelly Bensimon has to be on something, not even taking in consideration the assault charge, just observing her "meeting" with Bethany on Tuesday night's show, she is definitely on something!! She is crazy!! Granted Bethany upset her and she has every right to confront her, but how bizarre was she when she did...on something!!! The only reason she got so upset is because Bethany doesn't want to be friends with her, she cannot handle someone not kissing her ass and doing anything to be her friend. I think its funny how she said they were never going to be friends because it was obvious that she was trying to be Bethany's friend, trying to invite her to the photographers party, she is crazy!! Ah the drama, I cant deal with it in my life, but how great is it to watch on TV! Not sure if the Real Housewives of New Jersey will be as good.
