Memorial Day weekend vacation!

We had such a great trip, the resort was fabulous!! With gorgeous rooms, gorgeous views and being pampered you can’t go wrong! The room or should I say rooms were amazing it was like an apartment, small bar area/kitchen, living room, bedroom and a bathroom that was so gorgeous it made me what to redo mine! They had sorbet at 3 on the beach or by the pool, butlered appetizers at happy hour, and cookies and mints for us at turn down every night, they also had their own bottled water that I think we got every time we saw an employee or they serviced the room or drove up our car, too funny! We had planned to get groceries since we had a kitchen but there were so many recommendations of great places we ate out a lot more then planned, but you really should do that on vacation! A lot of great seafood, and yummy tropical drinks on the beach and pool area, only one weird thing, the places we ate dinner at had salad bars, but a rule you could only go up once, I had never heard of that before, I found it weird, but of course didn’t need the extra food, with all the other great food we had. On the way back home we stopped to shop and eat lunch in Naples, so many cute shopping areas!! What a great vacation! More pictures to follow.

Memorial Day Weekend Getaway!

I can't wait to get away for our four day weekend Memorial Day weekend! I love when my off Fridays fall on a weekend when we are off Monday, makes it easy to get away. I am so excited, we are running off to Marcos Island, Florida, right next to Naples, Florida to stay at Marcos Island Ocean Resort, should be very relaxing, hopefully I will get a tan when I am there!!

Overstock Purse

I have seen many a commercial from Overstock.com, but I have never bought anything from them.Then I got an email alert from salemail about cute purses they had on sale and I had to take a look. I found this super cute, perfect Spring color in Geranium, London Fog purse, now I am a fan and will have to check out Overstock.com more.

SunFest!

Man I have been so slammed at work I haven't had time to get on the computer for anything other than work, crazy! After working a ton of overtime last week Dan and I got away for the weekend to go on our annual SunFest trip. What a great time!! SunFest is an annual art and music festival on the waterfront in West Palm Beach, it is so fun. Great bands, great art and the Hospitality area we always get tickets for has an open bar, free snacks, free meals, passed hors'doeuvres at cocktail hour, is right on the water and next to the main stage. We had such a great time and there is always a huge Derby party at Bradley's to watch the Derby! This year was even better, I found my new favorite summertime drink, Jeremiah's Weed-Aid, Jeremiah's Sweet Tea Flavored Vodka and Lemonade, Alcoholic Arnold Palmers, how could I not love them!!

We left work early on Friday to pack up and head down to West Palm, we made it just in time to have cocktails and a fabulous dinner of fettuccine Alfredo, yes we were bad this weekend!, We met up with all our friends a little later and were out super late for us, the night ended at Roccos Tacos, a new bar and restaurant that gives free tequila shots, yes we were very bad this weekend, I happen to love tequila so I had a great time!!

Up not so early Saturday for a breakfast of pancakes and eggs Benedict at Juno Beach Cafe then back to relax at our friends Kiley and Max's townhouse. We got to SunFest just in time for free lunch from Panera and to hear Tonic and the Gin Blossoms. Great day of looking at art and listening to bands and then watching a great Derby at Bradley's, $9500 horse beat the $2.1 million, love it!! After another cocktail hour, a nice dinner and a few more bands we headed out just after UB40 started playing.

Sunday we packed up pretty early to head home to attend my grandfathers 89th birthday party, just before leaving we visited with Kevin and Tasha and their beautiful baby girl Isabella. Made it just in time for the party to start, my dad grilled out ribeyes as we all lounged by the pool eating appetizers and drinking mojitos, great end to a fabulous weekend! Now back to the grind!
