Yummy New Snacks!

So last night Dan and I ran to Publix and came across a new snack in the buy one get one free bins in the front of the store. Alexia Crunchy Snacks, I had seen them on TV, and was very interested in trying them, so I grabbed a bag of the Savory Seasoned Onion Strips and Hot Pepper Waffle Fries, they were both awesome, and lower fat than chips! The Onion Strips tasted like large French's Fried Onions you put on top of green bean casserole, and the Waffle Fries had just the right amount of heat for my taste, such a good snack!!! 150 calories for 17 pieces, not that much worse than my beloved 100 Calorie Packs!

Candy Buffet

I just love all the pictures of Candy Buffets out here on the internet, I knew right when I saw one it was a great idea for our wedding. We found some great deals to help us make it happen...

Dan and I found these on sale at Ross for $9.99 to $12.99 depending on the size, there were 5 different styles all very nice and a good size, we got 6 total spending only around $70.

Then on Ebay I found this package for only $19.99 total with shipping, it comes with 5 scoops, 2 tongs and 100 bags, I think I will use green and pink take-out boxes but still a great deal and I have the bags just in case or to use for something else, I got them in the mail Monday and they turned out very nice, the perfect size (look a little big in the picture).

Tap and Track IPhone Application

I found a great IPhone application a couple weeks ago and what a help it has been! Its the Tap & Track application, it allows you to log your weight, food, exercise, goals...everything you need to lose weight. Its so simply to use, it has all the resources you need right on it, a database of food nutritional information, restaurant guides, favorite food section, whoever created this must have done Weight Watchers at some point, the application is so much like WW Online, but right on your phone. You know its easy if I have stuck to doing it for weeks, its even helped me order when we go out. Here is a great write up about it.

Real Simple Deal

I love magazines, and thanks to Dan's soda addiction and Coke Rewards I get all my magazines for free, but there are two that they don't offer that I love, Real Simple and In Style, but now thanks to Hopsy at Monograms and Manicures I got Real Simple for $5 and so can you! From Hopsy...

If you are not already a subscriber or if you your subscription is about to expire of Real Simple get to Amazon ASAP! This week they are having a one year subscriptions sale for FIVE (yes just $5) DOLLARS! That is almost the same price as a venti latte at Starbucks, you cannot afford not to take advantage! The offer is available for a limited time and apparently only a limited number of $5 subscriptions are available. Run, run, run!

Wedding Music

I booked all the music for the wedding, a string quartet for the ceremony, a jazz ensemble and a DJ. I know a lot of people frown upon DJs but most of our must play list is dance music that a band couldn't play, so we compromised and did an ensemble and a DJ, I hope it works out. It took me a while to find a DJ I liked, so many think their "performance" is all about them and let their egos get the best of them. I know a few horror stories with DJs, one that was even my own, but since our music tastes are so eclectic I think a DJ can cover more, especially since a few of my girls say booty music is required, nothing bad that I cant play in front of my grandma though.

The Girls Attire

The guys ties came in this weekend and they match perfectly with the swatch for the bridesmaids dresses from Dessy group. I was a littler worried because I ordered them online without ever seeing them in person, but they couldn't have matched any better!

Here is the bridesmaids dresses, for some reason, bridesmaids dresses and favors have been very difficult for me, but I finally found a great dress in a great color green that all my girls liked by After Six from The Dessy Group and lucky me they also had the exact flower girl dresses I was looking for in the same color!

Save the Date

How cute are these Save the dates by Pose Prints!?! I have seen a lot of stationary stores online that allow you to create a model in your likeness, but I have to say Pose Prints is my favorite!

The Boys Attire

Dan was in a wedding 2 years ago for one of his best-friends Kevin and lucky us Kevin's wife Tasha has great taste and 3 out of 4 of Dan's groomsmen were in the wedding, so to save the boys money and me time looking we decided to use the same suits again. My dad and Dan's brother have to buy the suit, but I am sure they can use them again. Originally I was going to go with tuxes, but since its a Spring wedding on the beach I thought a ligt suit would be better.

To compliment the wedding colors I got the boys this tie from The Tie Bar to go with the suit.

Fabulous Paper

How fabulous is this paper by The Paper Source, when I first saw it I knew I had to incorporate it into the wedding somewhere, but wasn't sure where. I now think I will wrap the middle gift box with it for my card holder. Kind of like this one by The Wedding Main St. I love this, but for $124.99 plus shipping and handling, I just cant bring myself to do it, especially when I can make one myself!
I am going to have to wrap it so no frontal from an angel shows, haha!

4th of July

I hope everyone had a nice 4th of July!
Ours was a little different this year, my parents had a big party planned because my cousins from Texas that we had not seen in 8 years were coming down. It was suppose to be a huge family event, but then early Friday morning my mom went into the hospital very unexpectedly. Family event was canceled, but Dan and I still came over to be with my dad, grill out, swim and visit my mom, who is doing a lot better. Made me realize sometimes I take for granted all the holidays I get to spend with my family since they are all in town.
