What a horrible week!

Last Thursday I got an early morning phone call that my grandfather had passed away, he was 89, had not been doing well for a while now, and we had been "preparing" for this, but no matter what you do it is still hard. Yes he lived a long happy life, was right here close to all my family and he is now with my grandmother who died when I was 7, but even when people tell you those things it really doesnt help, at least for right now. I think the hardest thing was seeing my dad so upset, I have never seen him so upset. I think as men get older they get more emotional, or maybe it was that he hid it well when I was little, but it just killed my sister and I. My grandpa was always there for us and will be missed very much. I just love this picture of him when he was young, he had won a cutest iceman contest, iceman, ahh the olden days!

Puppy Update!

The puppies are doing really well! We have had them for a little over a month and a half, and we have had such a wonderful time with them, they are such a nice addition to our little family!

They are letting us know when they need to potty, they are now able to hang out with us without getting into mischief, and have kind of gotten the concept of a walk.

Lily has grown more than 4 pounds since we got her and Olive 2 pounds, yes Lily is a lot bigger than Olive.

We absolutely love these baby girls and its so sweet to watch Danny take care of them and play with them, he is such a good puppy daddy!

Bridesmaids Gifts

I saw this idea a long time ago before I was even engaged and loved it. A gift bag filled with lots of goodies for the bridesmaids!


I like the idea of giving them stuff they need and will use at the wedding and after. A wrap, flip-flops, jewelry, makeup palette, and a purse are perfect, plus something to hold it all. I have already gotten a lot of this, I found the wraps, and totes, designed and ordered the flip-flops and put in a custom order on Etsy for a really nice necklace to compliment the dress. Hope it all comes together nicely.

Victoria Secret's Sexy Little Bride Collection

Apparently Victoria Secret had an amazing bridal collection before I got engaged, but most of it is sold out. Thank goodness for Ebay! Ebay has all of it new with tags, at great prices! I am not a fan of the stuff that says "Sexy Little Bride", but there is a ton of cute stuff I did like... my something blue, tanks for before and after the wedding ("Kiss the Bride" and "Just Married"), tanks for my bridesmaids and a hoodie to wear while getting ready, that I got from Victoria Secret online, its says The Future Mrs. on the front and my sister's friend is going to add Dan's last name and Bride on the back, so cute! I just love that blueish teal color!
